历时106天，印度确诊病例超过中国 

On May 15,India rose to 11th spot among countries with highest number of Covid-19 cases overtaking China.We look at how India compares with other countries that have crossed the 80,000-mark 

截至5月15日，印度新冠确诊病例超过中国，全球排名第11位。我们来看看，印度与其他已经突破8万大 关的国家相比如何。

China was where it all began,in a wet market in Wuhan.Till January-end,there were only a few cases outside China.And then the coronavirus spread around the world.India's numbers started rising steadily from March,and on Friday,India became the 11th country with more Covid-19 cases than China.India's numbers will keep rising,but the good news is the country's growth rate is much slower than that of many countries-like the US-when they had around 80,000 cases.Though China had initially been hailed as a success story,a second wave appears to have hit parts of the country-a new cluster was identified in the northeastern city of Jlilin-and Wuhan is testing every one of its 11 millon residents to prevent a resurgence.

中国最早爆发疫情。直到1月底，中国境外的确诊病例还很少，之后新冠病毒传播到世界各地。印度的感 染人数从3月份开始稳步上升，上周五，印度的确诊增病例超过中国，全球排名第11位。印度的感染人 数将继续上升，但好消息是，印度的增长率远低于许多国家——比如美国——当时美国的确诊病例约有 8万例。尽管中国的疫情防控被赞成功，但第二波疫情似乎已经袭击了中国的部分地区——在东北城市吉林发现了新的集群感染——武汉正在对其1100万居民逐一进行检测，以防病毒卷土重来。

On March 15,World Health Organization released its last update on province wise spread of cases in China.There were 81,048 cases-almost at the same level as India on May 15,and mostly in Hubei.However,from March 16,there were more cases outside China and provincial data were discontinued.

3月15日，世界卫生组织发布了中国各省的最新情况，全国累计确诊81048例——几乎与5月15日印度 的确诊病例相当，中国的确诊病例主要集中在湖北。然而，从3月16日起，中国境外的病例开始增加， 国内各省的新增趋势趋于平缓。

In India,cases have spread across states

Unlike China,in India cases of Covid-19 have spread across states.There are four states in the country led by Maharashtra that have each got over 10% of the total cases in the country.The others being Tamil Nadu,Gujarat and Delhi.On an average,India has registered over 3,600 cases and over 100 deaths everyday since May 8.

与中国不同的是，在印度，新冠肺炎病例已遍及各邦。以马哈拉施特拉邦为首的4个邦，每个邦的确诊病 例都占全国确诊病例的10%以上，其他三个邦分别是泰米尔纳德邦、古吉拉特邦和德里。自5月8日以 来，印度平均每天登记的新增病例超过3600例，死亡病例超过100例。

Considering the spread of the virus,it will be far more difficult for India to contain the outbreak than China.
